Description
*Pulse Beacon* is a sci-fi parkour game set across a massive radar array. Players control a radio signal, leaping between densely packed radar dishes. The core mechanic is Signal Bridging: as the character approaches a dish, a connection line automatically forms. Players must charge the signal by continuously tapping the screen and leap to the next dish before the connection breaks; if the charging is interrupted or the jump is mistimed, the signal fades, resulting in a game over.
The game features 3,200 levels, categorized by frequency bands (Low, Medium, High, and Extremely High Frequency). The Low-Frequency Band (Levels 1–800) features a relaxed pace and large radar platforms, making it ideal for beginners. The Mid-Frequency Band (Levels 801–1600) introduces rotating radars, requiring players to time their jumps precisely to land in the gaps. In the High-Frequency Band (Levels 1601–2400), radar surfaces overheat; standing on them causes continuous health loss, forcing players to keep moving. The Extremely High-Frequency Band (Levels 2401–3200) is rife with signal interference that randomly reverses controls, offering a significant challenge.
Skill packs include the Long-Wave Antenna, which extends the maximum signal connection range, and the Filter Capacitor, which negates one instance of control-reversal interference. The active skill Overload Burst allows players to expend energy to destroy the radar beneath them, creating a temporary safe platform, though it has a long cooldown. Skill upgrades rely on Integrated Circuit Boards earned through end-of-level ratings, encouraging players to achieve perfect clears.
