Description
*Dream Catcher* is a surrealist parkour game. Players run through nested layers of dreams where environments suddenly warp, dissolve, or loop. A key feature is the Lucidity system: higher lucidity makes the environment more realistic (more obstacles, but predictable), while lower lucidity makes it more surreal (fewer obstacles, but they appear randomly). Players must actively manage their lucidity level to navigate different stages.
The 6,700 levels span five dream layers: Light Sleep, Deep Sleep, Dream-within-a-Dream, Collective Unconscious, and Chaotic Dream. Each layer contains 1,340 levels. Light Sleep features minimal reality distortion; Deep Sleep involves shifting gravity; Dream-within-a-Dream includes looping corridors (taking a wrong turn returns the player to the start); and Chaotic Dream is completely unpredictable.
Skill Set: Anchor prevents lucidity from dropping; Reality Warp actively transforms an obstacle into a platform; and Awaken instantly clears all obstacles from the screen. Upgrades require Memory Dew.
