Description
*Pixel Core* is a vertical-descent runner game. Players must constantly fall downward while dodging rock strata, lava, and subterranean creatures. Players control the character’s lateral movement within a vertical shaft to find the safest landing spots. A digging mechanic allows players to drill through thinner rock layers by holding down on the screen.
The 7,000 levels span six major layers—the crust, upper mantle, asthenosphere, lower mantle, outer core, and inner core—with approximately 1,167 levels per layer. As the player descends, temperatures rise (causing continuous health loss), rocks become harder (increasing digging time), and lava becomes denser. The inner core layer even features liquid iron-nickel storms, making movement extremely difficult.
Skill Set: Diamond Drill (speeds up digging); Heat-Resistant Coating (reduces heat damage); Gravity Anchor (allows for a brief hover during the fall). Upgrades require Geothermal Energy.
